Marimos are roughly 1-3cm but will vary in size and shape, and will appear larger in water.

- Water: Change the water every 1 to 2 weeks using clean, cool tap water.
- Light: Keep in indirect sunlight. Avoid direct sun, which can cause browning.
- Temperature: Maintain cool water temperatures, avoid places near heat sources.
- Cleaning: Gently rinse and squeeze the moss ball during water changes to remove dirt and keep it healthy.
- Floating: It's normal for moss balls to float due to trapped air. Gently squeeze them underwater to help them sink.
- Shaping: Roll the moss ball gently in your hands every so often to help maintain its round shape.
